San Diego State University graduate with degrees in journalism and political science. Experience in social media marketing, public relations, writing and editing. During my first semester at SDSU I started watching Ugly Betty on Netflix and it really inspired me to purse my interest in journalism. Since then, I've worked very hard to gain as much experience in different fields of journalism through internships, different campus organizations, and jobs.

This past year a lecturer in one of my journlaism classes asked us, "what would you do if you had enough money to never work again for the rest of your life?" She then prompted us, whatever your answer is, that's your passion.

That day I realized my ultimate passion is community service. After I graduate, I hope to gain more work experience in the field of public relations, marketing, or social media and then eventually earn my masters degree in non-profit organizational management. My dream is to expand and manage my family's non-profit organization Cristy's Pride Tutoring.
